So this week my family was able to come visit. They were able to stay for a whole week and it worked out so they were here over my birthday! It made for an awesome birthday having them here. Some of the highlights of our week were:
1. The kiddos not wanting to leave uncle "Kyler." They literally blocked the door so he wouldn't leave, and then they chased after him in the freezing snow to his car. Tyler was so good with them this weekend, it allowed me to see what kind of father he is going to be and he's going to be the BEST!
2. We went to my grandparents house for my birthday breakfast and as we came to the door we heard my niece Morgan say "They're here, hurry hide!" So we knew something was up. We came in and I went into the kitchen to see where everyone was but I didn't see anyone so I turned around and went downstairs. Well my family thought I was still in the kitchen so they yelled "Happy Birthday" without me there. It was hilarious! I just wish I could have seen their faces when they realized I wasn't there.
3. Pedicures with my grandma, mom, and sister.
4. Spending 2 hours at Tai Pan and still not being able to get half way through the store.
5. Having my niece spend the night at our apartment and watching Enchanted (which we found out after was a movie she wasn't allowed to watch) :)
6. Staying up until 3 am talking with my sister.
7. Having my sister and my dad let me clean their teeth.
8. Shopping with my mom is always a treat!
9. Getting addicted to crosswords and scrabble.
10. Eating the best food in the world! My dad cooked us an amazing Italian dinner and I have never tasted anything so good. YUM!
11. My mother-in-law coming to my birthday dinner while she was up here for Kaylie's volleyball tournament :) Thanks Konni!
There were a ton more, these were just the best. I am so grateful to have such an amazing family. Since we live away from them I easily forget how much I miss them until I'm actually around them. They are such an example to me and I'm grateful to Heavenly Father for blessing me with such a wonderful family.
