Tyler here, attempting to try a post:

First off, and by far the most important, Lara and I w

ent to the driving range this afternoon and Lara hit it into the 100 yd cup. No Joke! I actually ran out on the driving range and picked the ball out of the cup. Hole-in-ones are so easy.

Second off (?), Lara bought a new car and here are a few pictures for the family to see. We REALLY like it so far! It's way more sporty than we imagined and it is fun to drive....No offense CC... may you rest in peace.

Big News!

I'M PREGNANT!!!

We found out the day before father's day, I made Tyler go check the stick because I was too nervous to do it. We were both in shock for a little while but once that went away we were really excited.

This is how we told both of our families. They were both up in Utah around the forth of July so we waited to tell them in person instead of over the phone. It was hard to keep the secret but it was so worth the wait to tell them in person. I made these shirts for my niece and nephews. I had recently gotten a sewing machine so I told them I had been working on a project I wanted to show them. We had the kids come in from the other room and show these shirts to our family. It took a second for them to get it but once they did they were super excited. It was a fun way to tell the fam.

I am now 13 weeks and went in for my first OB appointment yesterday. We decided to wait until we moved to Omaha to see the doctor. The nurse who did the ultrasound said it was really fun to see this little one because most of the first visits are between 8-10 weeks, and since I was farther along the baby was more developed and we were able to see more. It was such an amazing experience to see this little baby. It was so active during the ultrasound- rolling, kicking, doing flips... I guess it was excited to meet us :) We both fell instantly in love with this little one and we can't wait to meet it. The dr. said everything looks good and healthy so far and we're right on track for a Feb baby.

This one is our favorite. You can see the arms, legs, and profile really well. Isn't he/she cute?!!!

We like this one too. It's all snuggled in and comfortable :) I can't believe this little one is inside me!

We can't wait to find out what it is so we can stop calling it an "it". I have a feeling it's a boy but we'll see :) I would love to hear any advice any one has for a mom-to-be... it's a little overwhelming to think we're going to have a baby soon.

UPDATE:

Just a quick update on other stuff that has bee going on the last few weeks...

-Tyler started orientation and will start classes on Monday. He says the orientation has been super boring but is excited to start classes.

-I finally have a job as a hygienist and will be working at 3 different offices until december. After that I'll be working 2 days a week until I find another job to make it full time.

-We found a great place that we're moving into the middle of Sept. It's in a great area and it's pretty nice for what we're paying.

We have felt really blessed the last few weeks and couldn't be more grateful for the way things have been turning out. We just miss our family and friends terribly and wish we could see you!! Keep us posted and we love you all!!

Hello from the Cornhuskers!!!

Well, we made it!! After 2 days of driving, a lot of Dr. Pepper, and hundreds of acres of corn fields... we made it. We couldn't have asked for a better drive out here, both cars functioned properly and the time went relatively fast.

Our place is really nice and our landlords couldn't be nicer. I attached some pics of our place. I tried uploading a video tour of the place, but for some reason it wouldn't let me :( The only downside is that the neighborhood is a little sketchy. We are going house hunting as soon as we can to see if we can find a better area.

We just wanted to thank everyone for all the good times and we are going to miss you! I will be posting again covering the last 6 months of our lives because I have been slacking... but this will hold you over until then :) We love you all!!!!

Tonight is Wed night which means only one thing... Modern Family! This has become our new favorite show... It is freaking hilarious!! Watch it if you haven't seen it. You will not be disappointed.

Obsession

So as you can tell, I changed our header. My sister got me hooked on digital scrapbooking and I can't stop! It's so fun and easy, and only takes me a fraction of the time to complete a page compared to regular scrapbooking. I recommend this to everyone. If you want to know how to do it let me know, I would love to share my knowledge! :) Let me know what you think!

Announcing...

Tyler got into Dental School!!!! We found out the begining of December that Tyler has been accepted to Creighton Dental School in Omaha Nebraska. Yes it is very very cold there and I don't know how I am going to survive, but we are so grateful to have gotten accepted. We are still waiting to hear from other schools, but for right now we are headed to Omaha this summer. Woo hoo!
