The Most Beautiful Girl in the World!

I have a friend in my ward who took these amazing photos... She did such s good job and I'm so glad we have professional pics of Macie as a newborn. It's amazing how much she has already grown since these pics were taken. She was about 2 1/2 weeks when we took them. I just uploaded the whole album from photobucket because I didn't want to take the time and just pick our favorites and post those. Let's be honest though, they are all my favorites :) So sorry there are so many but it was just faster to do it this way :)

Happy 1 month!

Today Macie turned one month! I can't believe it's already been a month since our sweet little angle came to our family. We even celebrated with pazookies and sang happy birthday to her. :) I love making these little stepping stones a big deal. My friend gave me a pack of onesies that will fit her for a year and they come with stickers that you stick on the onesie so you can take a pic every month. So that's what she is wearing in the pic below. It'll be cool to have a picture of her in the same outfit every month for a year.

She was two weeks in these pics. I was playing around one day with the camera and these are the pics I took. Definitely not professional but she gave me some cute expressions :) Thanks aunt Kayli for the cute headband!

At her two week appointment, she weighed 8lbs 3oz and was 20in long. She's gotten even chunkier since then, it'll be fun to see what she weighs at her next appt.

Finally Finished!

So we finally got Macie's room decorated. We still have a few small touches to add, but we're pretty much done! We did kind of a vintage bird theme. Let us know what you think!

Mom or Dad?

We compared our baby pictures to Macie's to see who she looks like. We think she's a good mix but we want to know what you think! It's been fun comparing her features to ours... like she has my mouth but Tyler's nose, or my eyes and Tyler's feet. Some days I can totally see me in her and other days she's all Tyler. We still can't get over how cute she is! So....

Mom

or Dad?
It would be fun to hear what you think!

Here are a few more pics of her we like...

She LOVES being wrapped like a burrito and sleeps so well this way. You can tell by this pic that she is out! She sleeps with her mouth open like this all the time, like her dad :)

Also Tyler made this video of Macie's birthday. It makes me cry every time I watch it, bringing back all the emotions of that day!

Our Sweet Macie

Macie Kae Broadbent was born Tuesday Feb 22, 2011 at 1:14pm. She weighed 7lbs 12oz and measured in at 20in long. We couldn't have imagined loving such a perfect little angel as much as we do. We are so lucky to have her in our family and are excited to watch her grow. More pictures will come... We are too busy staring at her and enjoying her :) That probably won't end though!

Here We Go!

Well... I better update the baby status before she gets here. Today is my last day of being pregnant! I went to my appointment last week and I haven't been progressing like my doctor wants me to so he decided to induce me. That and the fact the my family is here and my doctor is going out of town the day after my due date persuaded our decision to induce a couple of days early. So I go in tonight at 6pm to start the whole process! They are starting me on pitocin at 7am tomorrow morning so hopefully she will be here tomorrow! Wish me luck because I'm kind of freaking out right now. I am ready to be done with the whole thing and just have her here so I can hold her and love her.

My parents got here Saturday and Tyler's mom got here last night. It is so nice to have family here helping out and I'm glad they can share this whole experience with us. It just happened to work out that Baby Broadbent will be born on Grandma Broadbent's birthday... she's pretty excited and so are we.

I'm sure all you mom's can relate when I say that I have felt every emotion the last month getting ready to have a baby. It's so overwhelming at times thinking about how much our lives are going to change and what it really means to be a mom and raise one of Heavenly Father's children. It'll be a fun journey and I can't wait to see what's in store.

38 weeks... I'm about ready to pop! I posted this pic so you could see the bedding I made for her. It took way too long and if we have a boy next I'm pretty sure I'll be buying his bedding :)

Well I'm off... Next time I post I will be a mommy! Here we go!

Long Overdue

First things first...
We're having a GIRL!!!

We found out at 19 weeks and we couldn't be more happy or excited that we are having a little girl. So many projects to get done before she gets here... I am going to attempt to make her bedding for the crib and I've already started making some cute onezies and burp cloths.

I feel weird posting the "girl shot" so I just decided to post these cute ones. This is her at 19 weeks. So cute!

Now the challenge is finding a name... we are struggling with this one. Hopefully we will find one we like soon!

Me at 20 weeks...

and 24 weeks. I already feel huge, I don't know how I can get any bigger :)

I can totally feel her move and kick now. It's the weirdest but coolest feeling in the world. I can stare at my belly and watch my stomach jump whenever she kicks. Tyler couldn't believe it the first time he saw it :)

Here is one of the onezies I made... It's amazing what you can do with leftover fabrics!

We found these on Craigslist for cheap, her room is slowly coming together. I need to get going with it, she'll be here before we know it!

And in the middle of dental school and preparing for a baby, Tyler has been my handyman. We needed a kitchen table but didn't want to spend a fortune on one. So we turned to Craigslist again and found this nice simple table. It just didn't match any of our other furniture. So Tyler sanded it and painted it black. It turned out so good!

And this Tyler made from scratch... bought the wood, cut it, assembled it, and painted it. Impressive huh?! He's the best hubby in the world! I still have to make a cushion for the bench and find baskets to fill the cubbies. It's hard to find some that are reasonably priced.

Dental school has picked up so the projects have slowed down. Tyler has been doing really well in school, he's studying a ton and I have a feeling it's going to get worse :) Good thing I'll have my little girl to keep me company!

Other things we've been doing the last couple of months...

-My parents came into town for conference weekend. It was SO good to see family and have someone visit. It was such a good weekend and glad they were able to come out.

- Enjoying the amazing weather here... Pretty sure there should be snow on the ground right now but we are still wearing jeans and flip flops.

-We moved into a new apartment a while ago, just haven't blogged about it. We love where we are and love our ward. So many awesome people and feel like we are in the right place.

- We went to a corn maze... a NEBRASKA corn maze. I don't think I need to say any more.

-My sister had her baby last week, she is so adorable. Her cousin can't wait to meet her!

That's about it. If you are still reading this, I'm sorry...
